A new private markets desk at Marex shifts how hedge funds access currency and interest rate risk tools

Private capital managers now have dedicated access to FX and interest rate risk management services tailored to their trading and portfolio structure. The launch enables private market funds to hedge currency and interest rate exposure with a single counterparty specializing in their operational scale and reporting needs. Marex has launched a Private Markets Desk focused on providing FX and interest rate coverage to private capital managers. The desk will be led by Lloyd Beeston, who joins as head of dealing, and Jack Carnell, head of portfolio solutions. Beeston joins from Argentex Group, where he spent nine years in a range of roles, most recently as a senior institutional trader. Carnell also joins from Argentex Group, where he spent nearly eight years, most recently as a senior vice president covering private markets clients.
