SpaceX IPO Valuation May Force Retail Investors to Pay a 219x Earnings Premium

Retail investors will pay a heavy premium to acquire SpaceX stock. The valuation is driven by the project projection of a $1.75 trillion to $2 trillion market cap for SpaceX's initial public offering within the next few months. The company could raise $50 billion to $75 billion in the process. This valuation is based on a 2025 profit of $8 billion on $16 billion in revenue, as reported by Reuters. At a $1.75 trillion market cap, the company would be valued at over 109 times trailing revenue and close to 219 times trailing earnings.
