Coinbase Derivatives Market Maker Program Targets XRP Liquidity
Institutional investors trading XRP derivatives will face tighter spreads through a new liquidity initiative at Coinbase Derivatives. The platform has filed a market maker program for XRP and other crypto derivatives with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, effective May 1 through November 30. To participate, eligible traders must agree to make two-sided markets, a requirement designed to increase liquidity in the exchange's central limit order book. This mechanism reduces the gap between bid and ask prices for institutional participants.
