Goldman Sachs Bitcoin ETF avoids direct coin ownership to generate premium income
Investors in the Goldman Sachs Bitcoin Premium ETF will not hold the underlying currency. The fund invests at least 80 percent of its net assets in instruments providing Bitcoin exposure, including exchange-traded products that hold bitcoin and options on Spot Bitcoin ETPs. Neither the fund nor its Cayman subsidiary invests directly in Bitcoin. Instead, the fund generates income by selling call options on Bitcoin ETPs to collect premiums. This follows a filing for the Bitcoin Premium ETF by Goldman Sachs.
