Allstate adds free identity restoration to personal lines policies in 14 states
Home, auto and renters insurance customers in 14 states can now add identity theft protection to their policies at no extra charge. Allstate announced the rollout on April 16, 2026, making it the first major U.S. insurer to include the service as a standard benefit of personal lines coverage. The initial launch applies to 6.8 million customers in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming. To activate the benefits, eligible customers must enroll through the Allstate mobile app or Allstate.com. Enrolled customers receive 24/7 support, data monitoring and alerts for new accounts or data breaches, and full-service identity restoration provided by U.S.-based specialists.
