State Street Shifts Sector ETF Distribution In-House, Managing $342B as Passive Demand Holds

$342 billion in assets are now managed by State Street’s Select Sector SPDR ETFs, which saw $6.5 billion in inflows between December 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. The firm has moved the distribution and marketing of these ETFs in-house, appointing its broker-dealer affiliate as distributor effective December 1, 2025. Previously, ALPS Portfolio Solutions Distributor handled this role. The shift is part of an effort to expand global distribution, modernize marketing and digital tools, and enhance research and thought leadership. The investment objective and strategy of the funds remain unchanged.
