State Farm Secures Permanent Brand Placement via Netflix Integration

A brand asset now lives on with the content regardless of future commercial interruptions. This is the result of a State Farm partnership with Netflix that integrates the spokesman character Jake into the scripted series Running Point, which returns for its second season on April 23. The integration includes a guest appearance by Jake and a co-branded spot featuring stars Kate Hudson and Chet Hanks. This spot runs from April 13 through May 22. Alyson Griffin, head of marketing at State Farm險 a owns that integration into these shows allows a brand asset to live on with the content rather than disappearing after a media buy. The character remains in the episode for all future viewers.
