Societe Generale's MiCA-Compliant Stablecoin Enters MetaMask
MetaMask users can now access USD CoinVertible (USDCV), a regulated dollar token issued by a major European bank. The integration follows a partnership between Societe Generale-FORGE, the digital asset arm of Societe Generale, and Consensys, the company behind the wallet. USDCV is compliant with the EU's Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCA) and is backed by cash and cash-equivalent reserves. The token is issued under French electronic money regulations and is redeemable at a 1:1 rate in dollars. Users can utilize the token for trading, DeFi interaction, and fiat on-ramping through Transak.
