Morgan Stanley’s MSBT Surpasses WisdomTree as Crypto ETF Inflows Reallocate Toward Lower Fees
Morgan Stanley’s MSBT attracted $103 million in cumulative inflows by April 15, surpassing WisdomTree’s WBTC, which had $86 million since its January 2024 launch. MSBT charges a 0.14% fee, making it one of the most cost-competitive Bitcoin ETFs. The fund added $19.3 million in inflows on April 15 alone. U.S. spot crypto ETFs added $276.52 million in total inflows on April 15, driven by $291.86 million into BlackRock’s IBIT. Ethereum-linked ETFs saw more than $65 million in combined inflows as investors diversified. Fidelity’s FBTC recorded $47.35 million in outflows, and ARKB lost $42.22 million. Goldman Sachs filed to launch its own Bitcoin ETF, signaling expanding institutional participation. Total spot Bitcoin ETF assets approached $96.5 billion as the sector solidifies as a permanent portfolio component.
