Fidelity Leads $127 Million Ethereum ETF Surge as Coinbase Ventures Cuts Funding 59%

Fidelity's Ethereum Fund (FETH) attracted $84.1 million in inflows as part of a broader trend where U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs recorded net inflows for seven consecutive days as of April 17, 2025. Total net inflows reached approximately $127.4 million, with BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) garnering $30.8 million. These spot ETF inflows create direct buying pressure on Ethereum, which enhances market liquidity and reduces future volatility. Simultaneously, Coinbase Ventures reported $1.97 billion in crypto investments for Q2 2025. This figure represents a 59% decrease quarter-over-quarter. The firm has shifted its investment focus toward asset tokenization, trading infrastructure, next-gen DeFi, and AI.
