All Cwynar lawsuit defendants have reached preliminary agreements in homebuyer commission cases

All defendants in the Cwynar homebuyer commission lawsuit have now reached preliminary agreements. Realty One Group and The Agency announced their decisions to opt into the the Tuccori settlement, which is being overseen by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Both brokerages were sued by homebuyers in the other case, Cwynar, but joined Tuccori via an opt-in clause. Attorneys for the two firms requested that the court pause proceedings in Cwynar. Other brokerages named in Cwynar, including Real and Vanguard, have also joined the settlement. The original lawsuit was brought by homebuyers over commissions.
